Otto Mühl
Otto Mühl, born on June 16, 1925, in Grodnau, Austria, was an avant-garde artist and co-founder of the Vienna Actionism movement. His artistic endeavors spanned across multiple disciplines, including painting, performance, film, and installation.
Mühl studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and, in the 1960s, joined forces with fellow artists such as Hermann Nitsch and Günter Brus to shape the Vienna Actionism movement. This movement was characterized by provocative and shocking performances that utilized the human body as a medium for artistic expression.
